You can borrow and return documents at the Vauban University Library, 60 rue du Port in Lille. Starting Monday, June 22nd, we welcome you Monday to Friday, from 10 am to 6 pm.

The reopening of the study rooms is currently being considered, more details will be communicated in due course, depending on the evolution of the Covid-19 epidemic and when we will be sure that we can guarantee optimal sanitary conditions, for both readers and staff. Returning borrowed items
All loans have been extended until Septembre 15th. You have therefore enough time to return your items, however, do not wait too long to do it! If you are no longer in Lille, contact us, we will review your situation together.
You can return your items by dropping them on a library cart at the library entrance, just after the entrance hall, Monday to Friday, from 10 am to 6 pm. We will be accepting items borrowed at the main library (60 rue du Port), at the EDHEC library, as well as at the IFsanté library.
We kindly ask you to carefully respect the social distancing rules which will be on display and orally reiterated when necessary. Wearing a mask is mandatory.
Borrowing new items
You will be required to reserve the items you wish to borrow.
You will be able to pick them up the following day at a counter which will be specially equipped. The schedule and the social distancing rules will be identical to those mentioned above.
Do not forget to bring your student card or an ID card.
Reserving an item, how does it work?
A book reservation system is available on our website.
You will be able to request items which are located in the main library (60 rue du Port in Lille), in EDHEC Library (Roubaix) or in IF Santé Library (Lomme). You will not be able to request items which are already out on loan.
The borrowing date will be set on the date when the item will be available, items which are not picked up within 7 days will be reshelved.
The usual borrowing rules applied for students are adapted to the context of the pandemic. The borrowing rules for other users and extension of loan rules still apply:
· Students : up to 12 items for a period of 14 days (7 days for journals and DVDs), renewable 3 times
· External readers : up to 6 items for a period of 14 days (7 days for journals and DVDs), renewable 3 times
· Teachers / Researchers / Staff: up to 20 items for 28 days (14 days for journals and DVDs), renewable 3 times.
How do I make a reservation on the library’s website?
To reserve an item, you need to be logged in on our website. If you have never used our website, please refer to the FAQ section to find out how to create you reader account and log in.
Once you have logged in, start by searching our catalogue, then click on the title of the item you wish to request to display its detailed record.
At the end of the record, you can find the list of available copies: if the « Réserver » button is displayed, you can request the corresponding copy
Clicking on the « Réserver » button brings up a summary form:
The form is pre-filled with all the required information, you only need to click on « Valider ». If you wish to request a journal, you will be required to fill in the number of the volume you wish to borrow:
You will then automatically receive a summary of your request by email on your academic email address, your reservation is therefore finished!
